HERE IS HOW IT ALL WORKS

Delivering frozen fish requires expensive packaging, rapid transit between us and you (under 24 hours). For these reasons our delivery charges are higher than those for many items such as books or clothes, for which delivery is a comparative doddle.

HOW WE PACK 

We pack our fish either in insulated poly boxes or woolcool pouches surrounded by ice packs to ensure that the products remain frozen and arrive to you in perfect condition. The boxes are sealed in cling wrap so the total process is both expensive in material and time! 

DELIVERY CHARGES 

On some products we are either able to include postage and packing or we have special promotions which offer it free HERE. Otherwise the post and packaging charges are: £9.95 up to £40, £7.95 up to £70, £5.95 up to £100, FREE on orders over £100. 

WHEN WE DELIVER 

Deliveries are made by APC on overnight carriage on a day of your choosing (Tuesday to Friday excluding bank holidays). We do not deliver on Saturdays, Sundays or Mondays. Delivery is between 8am and 5.30pm. You can have your order delivered to work. For example,  if you order before 12 midday you can receive your order the following day or collect from our depot in Telford. If you order after 12pm on Thursday you will receive your item on a Tuesday. If you are not going to be in to receive your delivery you will need to put your special delivery requirements in the ‘delivery instructions’ box when checking out e.g. Leave behind the back of the house. Deliveries which are not signed for are left at your risk

Like most mail order companies, deliveries are made by a third party courier company.  Once your order leaves us it is scanned by the courier company. This generates  emails to you which will state the delivery date, consignment number and a 2 hour delivery slot within which your order will be delivered. 

WHERE WE DELIVER

Because of the nature of our deliveries, there are some parts of the country that we are regrettably unable to deliver to under any circumstances as our courier company cannot offer a next day service:

  • The Isle of Man
  • The Channel Islands
  • Isle of Wight
  • Ireland
  • Scottish Highlands and Islands i.e. PH15 upwards, AB, IV, KW, HS, PA15, DO
LATE DELIVERIES - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Inevitably a few of our deliveries (less than 5%) are late, most by less than an hour. If your delivery has not been made after 2 hours of your delivery slot, please call or email us and we will chase on your behalf. 01952 293344 enquiries@oceanclassic.co.uk.

By 5.30pm is not a contractual commitment. Day late deliveries occur very occasionally. As your order is well packaged it should cope with the delay. If you reject a late delivery without inspecting the contents and taking photos of the goods when possible, we will not refund you.
